らせ黒島王を養ふて嗣子となすべきことを令し
少王は帝城に留まり黒島國には大臣を派遣し

島国を出発し、長い旅路も障害なく、既に都に近づこうとする数日前に、使者を急派して帰還を報告し、併せてその遅延の理由を告げさせたところ、大臣をはじめ都全体の臣民が数を尽くして出迎えた。大臣等はまず国中の平穏を奏上し、市民は帝の無事を祝して数日の間、歓び歌う声が都城から野村まで（都も田舎も）満ち溢れた。さて帝はその翌日、百官を集めてこれまでのことを詳しく説明し、黒島王を養子として跡継ぎとすることを命じた。少王は帝城に留まり、黒島国には大臣を派遣してこれを治めさせ、官吏らに従い臣民に恩賞を与える

They departed from the island kingdom, and the long journey proceeded without obstacles. Several days before they were to approach the capital, they sent messengers ahead to report their return and explain the reasons for the delay. The ministers and all the subjects of the entire capital came out in great numbers to welcome them. The ministers first reported on the peace throughout the country, and the citizens celebrated the Emperor's safe return. For several days, the sounds of rejoicing and singing filled everywhere from the imperial city to the villages (both the capital and the countryside). The next day, the Emperor gathered all the court officials and explained in detail everything that had happened, ordering that the Black Island King be adopted as his heir. The young king remained in the imperial palace, while ministers were dispatched to govern the Black Island Kingdom, and rewards were given to the officials and subjects who had served faithfully.
