　その四　ガラスで筆のような管を製作する。その形状・大きさは
　　おおよそ【針の図】このようで、下端は管状になり
　　上端はほとんど筆の穂先の状態のようである。その鋭い先端の
　　内部に痘液を入れ、先端の細い口をアスファルトで塗って封印
　　し、下の口はこれを溶かして塞ぐ。そして再びこれを「ブリ
　　キ」管に入れ、管口を封印し、再度これを木管

　　に収め、紙で外側を包んで貯蔵する。○使用法は、これを開いて
　　ガラス管を取り出し、下端の管口を破って開き、
　　上口のアスファルトを除去し、下口を口に当てて吹くと
　　痘液が鋭い先端の上口から吐き出される。これを直接創
　　口に塗り擦り、或いは針頭に塗って刺入すべきである。
　その五　痘痂（かさぶた）を取って小口のガラス瓶に入れ、ガラスの
　　栓で口を塞ぎ、口の際を溶解したアスファルトで
　　塗って封印し、口をまた膀胱で外包し、紙で包み、
　　木管に収めて貯蔵する。ただし瓶は痂の多少に応じて
　　小さなものを用いるべきである。これは空隙が少ないのが良い

Apply this directly by rubbing it on the wound, or apply it to a needle head before insertion.

　Method 5: Take pox scabs and place them in a small-mouthed glass bottle, seal the opening with a glass stopper, coat and seal the rim with melted pitch, also wrap the opening externally with bladder, wrap with paper, and store in a wooden tube. However, the bottle should be small according to the amount of scabs used. It is preferable to have little empty space.
