とするためである。○使用法は、これを開いて痂（かさぶた）を
取り出し、清潔な摺り鉢に入れて徐々に粉末状にすり潰し、母
乳を一滴加えて溶かし混ぜ、これを針先に塗って刺
入する。また、先に発泡膏を貼り、その水泡を破って液
を出し、痂の粉末を取って水泡の皮の内に入れるのも良い。
その六 長さ二寸ほどのガラスの細管を取り、痘液
をその内部に吸い込み、管の両端を溶かして塞ぎ、これを数
本束ねてガラスの大管に入れ、再度その管口を
溶かして塞ぎ、管の上下に「コルク」を指輪のよう
にして通して固定し、これをガラス瓶に入れ、水を瓶口ま

で満たし、ガラスの栓で塞ぎ、口の際にアスファルトを
塗り付け、膀胱で覆い、糸で結んで縛る。ただし大管
の上下に「コルク」を通して固定するのは、瓶に触
れて破損するのを防ぐためである。○使用法は、これを開き、細
管を取り出し、その両端を破って開き、一方の口から吹い
て痘液を吐出させて使用することは、その第四法のものと同
じである。
右に示した数条の他は、実際の施術の間に経験によって知るべきである。
また西洋医学および私が経験した事例二、三を左に挙げて、
少しばかり初学者の参考に備える。

This is the reason why. ○ Usage: open it, take out the scabs,
place them in a clean mortar, gradually grind them to powder, add
one drop of breast milk to dissolve and mix it, apply this to the needle tip and insert
it. Also, first apply vesicatory plaster, break the blister to release the fluid,
and take the scab powder to place inside the blister skin.
Method 6: Take a thin glass tube about two inches long, draw pox fluid
into it, seal both ends of the tube by melting, bundle several
tubes together and place them in a large glass tube, again seal
the tube opening by melting, pass "cork" rings through the top and bottom
of the tube to secure them, place this in a glass bottle, fill with water to the bottle mouth,

seal with a glass stopper, apply pitch to the rim,
cover with bladder, and tie with thread. However, the reason for passing
"cork" through the top and bottom of the large tube is to prevent
damage from touching the bottle. ○ Usage: open this, take out the thin
tubes, break open both ends, blow from one opening
to expel the pox fluid for use, the same as the fourth method.
Besides the several methods shown above, other techniques should be learned through experience during actual practice.
Also, I will list below two or three examples from Western medicine and my own experience
to provide some reference for beginners.
