ファーレンハイトの75度を最良とする。
第2限（蚕児の眠起き）にはセルシウス22度半、ファーレンハイトの72度を最良とする。
第3限（二眠起き）にはセルシウス22度より21度、ファーレンハイトの71度半より70度まで、徐々に涼しくするのを良しとする。
第4限（三眠起き）にはセルシウス20度半、ファーレンハイトの69度を適宜とする。
第5限（四眠起きより繭を造るに至る）にもセルシウスの20度半、すなわちファーレンハイトの69度を最適とする。涼しくとも20度、すなわちファーレンハイトの68度より涼しくしてはならない。
前にも言ったように、重さ4匁の卵より出る蚕の数はだいたい1万4千匹であり、これを置く場所の広さを次第に増すことは次のとおりである。
