若し売捌方を外国人に頼むならは其口銭等の
規則を能く取極め約条書に書載せ互に取替す
へし外国人に附込まるゝ時は時々不相当の言
を言ひ懸けらるゝものなり又借家する時も建
具其他の器具等迄綿密に取調へ目録書を取置
へし後日明渡す時に至り紛失破損物等格外の
償を取らるゝことあり苟且（かりそめ）にも外国人との引
合は書付を以て証とすへし

横浜買出しの相場平均二弗とすれは彼国へ持
渡る時は三倍の利益あり因て横浜にて五万枚
の価十万弗は彼国にて三十万弗となる差引二
十万弗の利益あり此内より諸雑費を算当すれ
は即ち

もし売り捌きを外国人に頼むならば、その口銭等の規則をよく取り決め、契約書に記載して互いに取り交わすべきである。外国人に騙されるときは、時々不当な言いがかりをつけられるものである。また借家する時も建具その他の器具等まで詳細に調べ、目録書を取り置くべきである。後日明け渡す時に至って、紛失・破損物等について格別の償いを取られることがある。いい加減にも外国人との取引は書付を証拠とすべきである。

横浜での買い出し相場を平均二ドルとすれば、彼の国へ持ち渡る時は三倍の利益がある。したがって横浜で五万枚の価格十万ドルは、彼の国で三十万ドルとなる。差し引き二十万ドルの利益がある。この内から諸雑費を算定すれば、すなわち

If one entrusts the sales distribution to foreigners, one should thoroughly negotiate the regulations regarding commissions and such, record them in a contract document, and exchange them with each other. When being deceived by foreigners, they sometimes make unreasonable accusations. Also, when renting houses, one should carefully investigate even the fixtures and other equipment, and keep an inventory list. When the time comes to vacate later, one may be charged exceptional compensation for lost or damaged items. Even casually, dealings with foreigners should use written documents as proof.

If the average purchase price in Yokohama is two dollars, there will be three times the profit when taking goods to that country. Therefore, 50,000 sheets worth 100,000 dollars in Yokohama becomes 300,000 dollars in that country. This yields a profit of 200,000 dollars after deduction. Calculating the various miscellaneous expenses from this amount:
