一／胡葱（あさつき）薤（らつきやう）蒜（にんにく）野蒜（のひる）韮（にら）青葱（ひともし）の類（たくひ）の臭を忌
一／酒（さけ）に酔（ゑひ）たる人（ひと）のにほひをきらふ
一いまた見知（みし）らぬ人その房内（ねや）へ妄（みた）りに入（いる）へからず用向（いようむき）ありて入とも
痘者に見えぬようふにすへし医者（いしや）たりとも次（つき）の間（ま）にて荊芥（けいかい）茵蔯（いんちん）
の類（るひ）を焚（たき）薫（くん）してのうへにいるへし

【右丁】
以下に示す。
一、腋臭のある人は痘瘡患者の部屋へ入ってはならない
一、痘瘡患者の部屋で性行為をしてはならない。性的分泌物の臭いを忌む
一、人が遠方より急いで来た時の汗の臭いを嫌う
一、溝や便所などを掃除した臭いを忌む
一、婦人の月経、出産したばかりの婦人の出産時の穢れの臭いを嫌う
一、悪い皮膚病を患った人の臭い、並びに膿汁の付いた衣服の臭いを忌む
一、蚊を焼き、髪を焼いた臭い、並びに油灯・蝋燭・紙燭を吹き消した臭いを忌む
一、硫黄・沈香・龍脳又は焚香の香りを忌む

一、魚・鳥を焼く、又は魚・肉を炒めて焦がす、或いは油を煎る臭いを嫌う
一、浅葱・薤・大蒜・野蒜・韮・青葱の類の臭いを忌む
一、酒に酔った人の臭いを嫌う
一、まだ見知らぬ人はその部屋へみだりに入ってはならない。用事があって入る時も痘瘡患者に見えないようにすべきである。医者であっても次の間で荊芥・茵蔯の類を焚いて薫してから入るべきである
一、大声で人を叱る、又は口論の声を痘瘡患者に聞かせてはならない
一、痘瘡患者に向かって髪を結い化粧して見せてはならない
一、痘瘡患者の傍にいる人は身体が痒くても掻いて痘瘡患者に見せてはならない
