一／四季（しき）の時候（じこう）によりて衣被（きせもの）よろしきにかのふよふにはからふへしまた
暑中なれはとて風／吹（ふく）所（ところ）へつれゆく事かたく禁（きん）すへし夏（なつ）は陽（よう）外（ほか）
にして陰（いん）内（うち）とて表（そと）はあつけれと裏（うち）は冷（ひへ）るものなり殊（こと）に痘の陰（いん）に
属（そく）しそのうへ気血（きけつ）の二者（ふたつのもの）毒（とく）をおくり外（ほか）へいつるゆゑ内は必（かなら）す虚（きよ）し

をなすものは命に関わらない。良い薬を求めるべきである。
一、前にも言う通り、痘瘡が出てから十二日までは下着を着替えさせ、掻かせてはならない。もし大小便で濡れ汚れたら、温かい襁褓（おむつ）でその濡れ汚れた所を拭い、また別の温かい襁褓で痘瘡患者の腹や腰に巻き付け、あの湿った下着の裾をからげ上げて、冬なら炬燵に寄せて寝かせておくべきである。また夏などは父母や付添人が襁褓を懐に温めて用意しておくのがよい。最も大切なのは、濡れ汚れた襁褓を痘瘡患者に纏わせておいてはならず、早速取り替えることである。また痘瘡の最中に縁先や庭前で大小便をさせることを堅く禁ずべきである。寒中なら炬燵の蒲団をまくり上げて、その側で便器を用いて取るべきである。暑中なら座敷で風が当たらないよう

一、四季の時候により衣類を適切に調整するよう計らうべきである。また暑中だからといって風の吹く所へ連れて行くことを堅く禁ずべきである。夏は陽が外にあって陰が内にあるといって、表は暑いけれど裏は冷えるものである。殊に痘瘡は陰に属し、その上気血の二つのものが毒を送って外へ出すゆえに、内は必ず虚しやすい。この理を理解せずして、暑中は暑いだろうなどと心得て、風の吹く所へ連れて行って害を招いてはならない。また団扇や扇子で扇ぐことも忌むべきである。
