も十二三日に至（いた）れは両眼胞（りようまふた）の腫（はれ）ひきて目（め）を開（ひら）く者（もの）をよしとす若（もし）十二
三日に至（いた）り一度（いちと）ひらきて又（また）十七八日に至（いた）り再（ふたゝ）ひ眼封（めとち）るものは眼疾（かんしつ）也／急（きゆう）
に良医（りようい）に任（まか）せて治（ぢ）を請（こ）ふへし療治（りようち）遅（おそ）き時（とき）は終（つひ）に盲目（もうもく）となる者（もの）多（おほ）し
これ皆（みな）医者（いしや）の早（はや）く療治（りようち）せざる誤（あやま）りよりなる事（こと）なり都（すへ）て痘後（ほうさうこの）眼病（めのやまひ）
は常（つね）の眼疾（やみめ）と異（ちかひ）て妄（みた）りに点薬（さしくす）りする事（こと）なかれまたあらひくすり
もよろしからす古人（むかしひと）も痘後（たうこ）眼疾（かんしつ）あらは眼科（めいしや）に治（ち）を請（こ）ふ事（こと）なかれ妄（みた）
りに点薬（さしくすり）すれは瞳子（くろまなこ）を潰（そこな）ひて廃人（はいしん）となるといへり是故（このゆゑ）に世俗（せそく）痘後（たうこ）

一 十三日十四日十五日を落痂（らくか）の期（き）といふて瘡痂（てものゝふた）漸（せん）々に落（おつ）るなり此（こゝ）に於（おひ）
て若（もし）すこしも不順（ふじゆん）を加（くは）ふれは余毒（よとく）遷変（せんへん）として大害（わさはひ）をなすもの多（おほ）
し若（もし）稠密（てものおほ）にして不順（ふじゆん）を加（くは）ふるときは頭面（かほ）手足（てあし）の痘痂（かさふた）古（ふる）き松（まつ）の皮（かは）
のよふなるあり或（あるひ）は鶏（にはとり）の糞（ふん）をすりつけたるよふなるもあり或（あるひ）は蚯（みゝ）
蚓（つ）の灰（はひ）にまふれたるよふなるもあり或（あるひ）は蛇（へび）の皮（かは）をはきたるよふな

も十二三日に至れば両眼瞼の腫れが引いて目を開く者を良いとする。もし十二三日に至り一度開いて、また十七八日に至り再び眼が閉じるものは眼疾である。急いで良医に任せて治療を請うべきである。療治が遅い時は終に盲目となる者が多い。これは皆医者が早く療治しなかった誤りによるものである。すべて痘瘡後の眼病は通常の眼疾と異なって、みだりに点眼薬をすることなかれ。また洗眼薬も良くない。古人も痘瘡後眼疾があれば眼科に治療を請うことなかれ。みだりに点薬すれば瞳孔を損なって廃人となると言っている。この故に世俗は痘瘡後眼疾があればこの理を弁えて心得よ。
一、痘瘡後の腫毒・眼疾・走馬疳の三症は医者の療治の誤りによるものがある。また倒靨・倒陥などという症に薬を多く用いて命を救い、腫毒・眼疾・走馬疳

等をもたらすのは医者の誤りではない。これは重い病を先ず療治して軽い病としておいた上で十全の快気をもたらすものである。
一、十一二日に小便が頻繁に快く通じるのは大吉である。ここにおいて顔面の腫れが次第次第に減り、両眼瞼が開いて乳食が日を追って進み、渇きも漸々に止み、良く安眠するのを良いとする。
一、十三日・十四日・十五日を落痂の期といって瘡痂が漸々に落ちるのである。ここにおいてもし少しでも不順を加えれば余毒が遷変として大害をなすものが多い。もし稠密にして不順を加える時は、頭面・手足の痘痂が古い松の皮のようなるものがあり、或いは鶏の糞をすりつけたようなものもあり、或いは蚯蚓の灰にまみれたようなものもあり、或いは蛇の皮を脱いだような
