さかんにし陰血（いんけつ）を益（ま）し人を肥（こや）し健（すこやか）ならしむ
婦人（ふじん）の乳汁（ちゝ）をよく通（つう）ず此もの海中（かいちう）の佳品（よきもの）なり
一説（いつせつ）に癰疽（ようそ）痘瘡（とうそう）已（すで）に起発（おこり）て膿（うみ）をもちかぬる
ものにあたへてよく膿色（うみ）を催（もよふ）すなり若（もし）疱瘡（ほうそう）
六七日／至（いた）りて稀密（きみつ）軽重（けいじう）を択（ゑらま）ず膿（うみ）を催（もよふ）し
がたきものは薄味噌（うすみそ）に生鯛（なまだい）と餅（もち）とを煮熟（にじゆくし）て
酒（さけ）を少（すこ）しくわへて乳婦（うば）小児（せうに）ともにあたふべし

また鯛（たい）の種類（しゆるい）甚だ多（おゝ）しといへども真鯛（まだい）を
よしとす 黄檣魚（あまたい） 烏頬魚（くろだい） 方頭魚（はなおれたい） 金糸魚（いとよりだい）
海鯽魚（ちぬだい｜くろたい） 其性（そのせい）相似（あいに）たり真鯛（まだい）其外（そのほか）の鯛（たい）の種類（しゆるい）
何れも百日／禁（きん）ずべし余（よ）どくをはつすといへり
一／鶴（つる） 毒（どく）なし気力（きりよく）を益（ま）し血（ち）を補（おぎな）ひ虚症（きよせう）をとゝのへ
肺気（はいき）を補養（をきのふ）元気（けんき）虚弱（きよじやくの）痘症（とうせう）に四五日の間（あいだ）少々（せう〳〵）

現代語訳
【右丁】
盛んにし、陰血を益し、人を肥えさせ健康にする。
婦人の乳汁をよく通す。この魚は海中の良品である。
一説によると、癰疽や痘瘡がすでに起こって膿を持ちかねている
ものに与えてよく膿の色を促すのである。もし疱瘡が
六、七日に至って疎密軽重を選ばず膿を促し
がたいものには、薄味噌に生鯛と餅とを煮熟して
酒を少し加えて乳母・小児ともに与えるべきである。
たちまち平らに陥没していた発疹が起こって膿色が急に
充足することは妙なりである。もし膿色が十分になったものには九日の
後は必ず与えてはならない。余毒を発するからである。

また鯛の種類は非常に多いといっても真鯛を
良いとする。甘鯛、黒鯛、鼻折鯛、糸撚鯛、
茅渟鯛（黒鯛）、その性質は似ている。真鯛その他の鯛の種類は
いずれも百日間禁ずるべきである。余毒を発するといわれている。
一 鶴 毒はない。気力を益し、血を補い、虚症を整え、
肺気を補養する。元気虚弱の痘症には四、五日の間少々
与えるべきである。多く用いれば痘後必ず眼疾を
生ずる。また卵は甘くて塩辛い。常に用いてあらかじめ
痘毒を解する効果がある。故に小児に与えて益
がある。

According to one theory, for carbuncles and smallpox that have already erupted but struggle to form pus,
it can be given to effectively promote pus formation. If smallpox
reaches the sixth or seventh day and regardless of density or severity struggles to form pus,
raw sea bream and rice cake should be cooked thoroughly in thin miso
with a little sake added, and given to both wet nurses and children.
It is wonderful how flat, sunken eruptions immediately rise up and pus color suddenly
becomes sufficient. If pus color becomes adequate, it must not be given after the ninth day,
as it will trigger residual toxins.

Although there are many varieties of sea bream, true sea bream is considered
the best. Sweet sea bream, black sea bream, broken-nose sea bream, golden thread sea bream,
Chinu sea bream (black sea bream) - their properties are similar. True sea bream and other varieties of sea bream
should all be prohibited for one hundred days. It is said they trigger residual toxins.
- Crane Non-toxic. It benefits vital energy, supplements blood, regulates deficiency symptoms,
and nourishes lung qi. For smallpox symptoms with weak constitution, a small amount should be given
for four to five days. If used extensively, it will inevitably cause eye diseases after smallpox.
Also, the eggs are sweet and salty. When used regularly, they have the effect of resolving
smallpox toxins in advance. Therefore, giving them to children is
beneficial.
