Shimizu Yakushi (Shimizu-zaka Slope)
The name "Shimizu" (Pure/Clear Water) derives from the clear spring that wells up from the base of a hill within the temple grounds.
This area is renowned for its summer daikon radishes, known as "Shimizu-dane" (Shimizu variety), which are celebrated and prized throughout the region.
