一 文政元（寅）年五月、異国船が渡来したことにつき検視使船が差し出された際、御軍事奉行副役片嶺四郎左衛門と一同に乗船して赴いた。その後異国船が浦賀湊へ引き入れられることになったため、御人数一同で御固めを仰せつけられ、乗船にて警固したこと
一 同年六月、去る秋に房州沖へ異国船が見えた際、平根山へ数日詰め、総じてよく取り計らい勤労したことにつき、御酒を下し置かれたこと
一 同年十一月、親の願いの通り、今泉勘兵衛の二男新十郎を婿養子にしたい旨を願い出て、許可されたこと

一 同二（卯）年三月、相模国を御引受した後、異国船がたびたび漂流してあり、去る夏中は御領分沖合へ初めて渡来したところ、検視使船へ乗り組み早速出船させ、数日警固御用とともに勤務し勤労したことにつき、御褒美として錦二把を下し置かれたこと
一 同年六月、郡奉行当座仮役を仰せつけられ、糺御用に限り勤務するよう仰せ出されたこと

- In the 1st year of Bunsei (Year of the Tiger), 5th month: When foreign ships arrived and inspection vessels were dispatched, he boarded together with Assistant Military Affairs Magistrate Katamine Shirōzaemon and proceeded to the scene. After the foreign ships were brought into Uraga harbor, he was ordered along with all personnel to guard the area and maintained security from aboard the vessel.
- Same year, 6th month: When foreign ships were sighted off the coast of Bōshū the previous autumn, he was stationed at Hiraneyama for several days and generally managed affairs well and worked diligently, for which he was granted sake as a reward.
- Same year, 11th month: As requested by his parent, he was granted permission to adopt Shinzaburō, the second son of Imaizumi Kanbē, as his son-in-law and heir.

- In the 2nd year (Year of the Rabbit), 3rd month: After taking charge of Sagami Province, foreign ships frequently drifted into the area, and during the previous summer, when they came to the offshore waters of the domain territory for the first time, he joined the inspection vessels and quickly set sail, serving for several days in guard duty and other official business, working diligently. For this, he was granted two rolls of brocade as a reward.
