現代語訳

【右丁】
一　明和四年（亥年）七月、杉田五郎兵衛の願いの通り役職を免じられ、後任として加須屋五左衛門の組に所属することになった。

一　同六年（丑年）四月、小兵衛と改名したい旨を願い出て、許可された。

一　安永四年（未年）十月、樋口覚左衛門の弟権吉の婿養子になりたい旨を願い出て、許可された。

一　同六年（酉年）三月、城番を二十年間怠ることなく勤務した旨が申し渡された。

一　天明四年（辰年）九月十日、六十四歳で病死。法名は環中玄歩居士。葬所は上記と同じ。

1. In the 7th month of Meiwa 4 (year of the boar), Sugita Gorobei's request was granted and he was relieved of his duties. The successor position was assigned to Kasuya Gozaemon's unit.

1. In the 4th month of the same 6th year (year of the ox), a request to change the name to Kobei was submitted and granted.

1. In the 10th month of An'ei 4 (year of the sheep), a request to become an adopted son-in-law of Gonkichi, younger brother of Higuchi Kakuzaemon, was submitted and granted.

1. In the 3rd month of the same 6th year (year of the rooster), it was announced that he had faithfully served castle guard duty for twenty years without negligence.

1. On the 10th day of the 9th month of Tenmei 4 (year of the dragon), he died of illness at the age of 64. His posthumous Buddhist name was Kanchū Genpo Koji. His burial place is the same as above.
