之儀者只今之居宅ニ成とも町屋ニ成とも
勝手次第ニ可致候併只今之通有之内
証障無之候ハヽ其通可然候由被
仰出候事
一 同六《割書：丑》年十二月何之勤も不仕罷
在候段恐入奉存候間相応之勤被
仰付被下置度願上候所翌寅正月
御旗奉行被 仰付候事
一 同七《割書：寅》年六月右門と改名仕度旨

現代語訳
【右丁】
の件については、今の居宅のままでも町屋でも
都合次第でよい。ただし今の通りである間は
支障がなければ、そのままでよいとの
仰せであった。
一 同六（丑）年十二月、何の勤めもせずに
在宅している段、恐れ入っていることなので、相応の勤めを
仰せ付けて下さるよう願い上げたところ、翌寅正月に
御旗奉行を仰せ付けられた。
一 同七（寅）年六月、右門と改名したい旨を
願い出ることを許された。
【左丁】
一 同年閏八月、御供番頭を
仰せ付けられた。
一 同年十月、勤番のため江戸表へ上り、
翌卯四月、御下向に付き御供として下った。
ただし陣中御小袖二枚を下し置かれた。
真照院様御法事を広徳寺において
御執行の節、惣司を仰せ付けられた。
一 正徳元（卯）年六月、瀬木三郎左衛門の
跡屋敷を下し置かれた。

regarding his residence, whether he remained in his current dwelling or moved to a townhouse was at his discretion. However, as long as things remained as they were, if there were no impediments, it would be fine to continue as is, as ordered.
一 In the twelfth month of the sixth year of Ox (丑), since he had been staying at home without performing any duties, he humbly felt ashamed and petitioned to be assigned appropriate duties. In the following first month of Tiger year, he was appointed as flag magistrate (o-hata bugyō).
一 In the sixth month of the seventh year of Tiger (寅), he was permitted to petition for a name change to Uemon.

一 In the tenth month of the same year, he went up to Edo for guard duty, and in the fourth month of the following Rabbit year, he accompanied the lord on his return journey to the domain.

When the memorial service for Shinshōin-sama was conducted at Kōtokuji temple, he was appointed as head supervisor.
