一 十二月五日 先達て（去月十六日）三の丸内市村勘右衛門屋敷が焼失したところ、御曲輪の内のことなので届け出をすべきかどうか、老中土屋相模守政直殿へ御留守居村上三太夫政峰を遣わして内々にお伺いしたところ、軽微な件ではあるが御曲輪内のことなので届け出をするようにとのご指示があったため、御用番小笠原佐渡守長重殿へ以下の通り届書を提出した。
口上の覚
私の在所城内三の曲輪の内の侍屋敷一軒が先月二十六日に焼失いたしました。類焼もございませんで、早速鎮火いたしました。この件についてご了承いただくため、使者を以て申し入れます。以上

一 同月十日（午前九時過ぎ）石町二丁目から出火し、北西の風が強く大火となったため、東叡山へ出馬された。
一 同日 右同様大火となり霊巌島御屋敷が類焼した（午前七時前）ため、御場所まで申し上げたところ、内匠頭昌平様がご留守でもあったので、浅草御屋敷へお越しになりたい旨を仰せ出されたため、内匠頭様御家老渋谷種左衛門元忠まで

December 5th: Previously (on the 16th of last month), the residence of Ichimura Kan'emon within the Third Bailey was destroyed by fire. Since it was within the castle enclosure, [we] inquired through deputy Murakami Santayū Masamine to Senior Councilor Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami Masanao whether a report should be made. Although it was a minor matter, since it was within the castle enclosure, [we] were instructed to make a report. Accordingly, the following report was submitted to Duty Councilor Ogasawara Sado-no-kami Nagashige:
Verbal Memorandum
One samurai residence within the Third Bailey of my domain's castle was destroyed by fire on the 26th of last month. There was no spread of fire to other buildings, and it was quickly extinguished. I am reporting this matter through a messenger to obtain your acknowledgment. The above.
