一　同日九日、江戸をご出発、東海道を通ってご旅行
　　　　　　ただし去る月二十三日にご出発の予定だったが、ご内用により延期となり、
　　　　　　六日のお日取りだったが、尾張中納言様がご逝去されたため御老中へお伺いの上、
　　　　　　再び延期となって今日となった

一　同月十一日、江戸表からの御使い、御奏者番萩野孫右衛門正封が今日
　　福井へ到着した（去る二日に江戸出立）。月番御家老酒井典膳知房宅において、ご意向の趣旨を
　　御家老へ伝達した
　　　　　　　　若殿様がご病気のところ、ご出仕してお勤めをされるのは病気のせいでは
　　　　　　　　ないとご残念に思われ、まずはそのままにしておかれたが、
　　　　　　　　土屋相模守殿が仰せになった様子もあったので、いよいよお引き籠もり
　　　　　　　　されるようお願い申し上げたところ、お心次第でよろしいとの旨を
　　　　　　　　去る二十八日に仰せ出された。この段申し聞かせるようにとのご意向である。
　　　　　　　　お前（殿）におかれても格別ご心配されていることと思う。以上

1. June 8th, regarding the same matter, to inquire after [the shogun's] well-being, he offered one set of ceremonial cypress boxes through a messenger (after consulting with duty officer Abe Bungo-no-kami-dono on the 6th).

1. Same day, regarding departure on the 9th tomorrow, he performed his duty to duty officer Abe Bungo-no-kami Masatake-dono to give notice.

1. Same day, 9th, departed Edo and traveled via the Tōkaidō route.
However, although departure was scheduled for the 23rd of last month, it was postponed due to private affairs,
and though it was rescheduled for the 6th, due to the death of Owari Chūnagon-sama, after consulting with the rōjū,
it was postponed again until today.

1. Same month, 11th, a messenger from Edo, Ōshaban Hagino Magoemon Masafusa, arrived in
Fukui today (departed Edo on the 2nd). At the residence of the monthly duty karō Sakai Tenzen Tomofusa, he conveyed the purport of
[his lord's] intentions to the karō:
"Regarding the young lord's illness, it would be regrettable if his attendance and service were
not due to illness. Initially this was left as it was, but
since Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami-dono made certain remarks about the situation, a request was made
that he should withdraw into seclusion, whereupon it was decreed on the 28th that
he may act according to his own wishes. This matter should be communicated to you.
You (the lord) must also be particularly concerned about this. The above."
