御城において御渡しがあり、御家来の拝領物等は例の通り

一 同月二十三日、右同様について御礼のため高知斎藤酒之亟定員を江戸表へ
派遣した。例の通り奉書紙並びに昆布干鯛御樽を献上した。酒之亟は
今日福井を出立した

一 同月末日、暑中につき御書を以て例の通り御国産素麺干鯛を献上した
一 七月六日、御誕生日御祝儀のため御使者を以て例の通り黄金を献上した
一 同日、本多孫太郎長員宅へ御使者として御家老松平庄兵衛正恒、酒井与三左衛門元宣を
派遣した。孫太郎に嫡子がいないため、浅次郎様を養子に仰せ付けられる旨の
御意向の趣旨を両人が伝達した。孫太郎が御請けを申し上げ、即刻御礼のため
御座所へ参上し、御目見を仰せ付けられ、御長蚫を下賜された
一 同月九日、暑中の御機嫌伺いのため御使者堀金七直正が江戸に到着した
（去月二十五日に御国表出立）。御用番へ御書を提出した

1. June 12th, regarding the same matter, at the residence of monthly duty karō Sakai Tenzen Tomofusa, from Honda no Magotarō Nagazane and other samurai of high rank down to the physicians, Tenzen conveyed the contents of the aforementioned written notice.
1. Same month, 13th, regarding the献上 of congratulatory gifts for the Boys' Festival, an inner letter was presented at the castle, and retainer rewards and other gifts were given as usual.
1. Same month, 22nd, [the lord] returned to the castle.
1. Same month, 23rd, regarding the same matter, Takachi Saitō Sakenojō Sadakazu was dispatched to Edo to offer thanks. As usual, ceremonial paper, kelp, and dried sea bream in sake barrels were offered. Sakenojō departed Fukui today.
However, the date of Sakenojō's arrival in Edo is unknown.
1. Last day of same month, due to the summer heat, as usual御国産 sōmen noodles and dried sea bream were offered by letter.
1. July 6th, for the birthday celebration, gold was offered through a messenger as usual.
1. Same day, messengers karō Matsudaira Shōbei Masatsune and Sakai Yozaemon Motonobu were sent to the residence of Honda Magotarō Nagazane. Since Magotarō has no heir, the purport of [the lord's] intention to appoint Asajirō-sama as adopted son was conveyed by both men. Magotarō accepted respectfully and immediately went to the lord's quarters to offer thanks, was granted an audience, and received a gift of abalone.
1. Same month, 9th, messenger Hori Kinshichi Naomasa arrived in Edo to inquire after [the shogun's] well-being during the summer heat (departed from the domain on the 25th of last month). He submitted a letter to the duty officer.
However, a reply letter was presented the following 10th day.
