百歳以前の能登之国の御領主は畠山よしのり殿と申候是はくわん
とう侍と申つたへ候か当国へ御越候刻はおわりの国ゟ御出候成候遊

聞書
百歳以前の能登国の領主は畠山義教殿と申し上げる。これは関東武士と申し伝えられているが、当国へお越しになった時は尾張国からお出でになったということである。遊佐と申す家老一人がお供して御座った。当国において、温井殿・三宅殿・神保殿・長殿を旗下にお付けになった。すなわちこれを面々衆と申し上げる。義教殿は常々御仕置きが悪く御座ったということで、ある時府中の浜へ馬の慰みにお出でになったところ、その跡で御殿に火をかけ謀反の体であった。義教殿はやむを得ず御舟にお乗りになり越中浦へお逃げになり、その後京都にお住まいになったということが申し伝えられている。当国は十ヶ年余りほど長殿がお治めになった。右の面々衆が旗下におなりになった。その内、遊佐殿が致したのは、尾張より筋目の武士で御座ったのに長殿の旗下になることは無念で御座ったけれども、やむを得ない体であった。しかるところに越後より兼信が一万人ほどを催し七尾
