- (Continued from previous page) Upon the completion of the palace renovation (*go-fushin*), he was appointed to perform the *hikime* [a ritual arrow-shooting ceremony].
- On the twenty-sixth day of the first month of Bunsei 4, the Year of the Snake (1821), being an auspicious day (*kichijitsu*), he performed his duties for the *hikime* ceremony without any delay or difficulty.
- In the ninth month of Bunsei 5, the Year of the Horse (1822), in anticipation of an emergency, he was appointed to serve as an armored soldier (*kōshi*) in the unit of Tanaka Tetsujirō.
