〔高橋与五〕郎組へ入った。
ただし、願い出の上、江戸表へ罷り在った。
一、同年（文化七午年・1810年）十月、武芸に精を出し、極めの業も聞こえるにつき、小普請料を免除され、出勤を仰せ付けられた。
一、同八亥年（1811年）二月、不時の節、御備組甲士を仰せ付けられた。
一、同月、願いの通り、剣術〆り方を御免じなられた。
一、同年八月、常詰外様士を仰せ付けられた。
一、同月、不時の節、御手元備御長柄頭を仰せ付けられた。

Item: In the tenth month of the same year (Bunka 7, Year of the Horse, 1810), as it was reported that he had applied himself diligently to the martial arts and had attained a level of mastery, he was exempted from the *kobushin-ryō* levy and was ordered to resume active duty.
Item: In the second month of Bunka 8, the Year of the Boar (1811), in the event of an emergency, he was appointed as an armored soldier (*kōshi*) of the reserve unit (*sonaegumi*).
Item: In the same month, in accordance with his petition, he was relieved of his appointment as *kenjutsu shimari-kata* (supervisor of swordsmanship).
Item: In the eighth month of the same year, he was appointed to the permanent-posting outside retainer unit (*jōzume tozama-shi*).
