一、承応元辰年（1652年）九月十日、樋口源兵衛と申す者が先月（八月）に病死致し候由、忰（せがれ）が十三になり申し候、御普代の者の儀に候間、御切符取（原文のまま、府とあり）に御座候得共、と申す御取成書が相見え、また同月、樋口源兵衛儀、拾八石・二人扶持を下し置かれ、忰当年十三になり候由、申し上げられ候。右御切米のうち、会津俵二十俵に二人扶持を下し置かれ候由相見え候得共、家元伝（かげんでん）無之候事。

One entry: Jōō 1, Year of the Dragon (1652), ninth month, tenth day — A document of intercession (torinaoshi-sho) was found stating that a man called Higuchi Genbei had died of illness the previous month (eighth month), that his son had reached the age of thirteen, and that as [Genbei] was a hereditary retainer (fudai no mono), [the son] was requesting an official allowance certificate (kirifu-tori; note: the original text writes 府 but this appears to be a transcription error). Furthermore, in the same month, it was reported that Higuchi Genbei had been granted 18 koku and a stipend for two persons (ninin-fuchi), and that his son was thirteen years of age that year. It appears that, of the aforementioned stipend rice (okirimai), twenty bales of Aizu tawara [rice] and a stipend for two persons were granted; however, no family tradition (kagen-den) has been passed down regarding this matter.
