彦兵衛が当七月に相果て候に付き、忰（せがれ）半左衛門は、物をも書き、勘定もいたし、器量も能（よ）く、御普代の者の儀に候間、親の跡（式）を下され、林清左衛門と相役を仰せ付けられ候由、相見え候事。
一、寛文十戌年（1670年）（月不詳）、御兵器役を仰せ付けられ候事。
一、病死の年月不詳。法名、見巌応知居士。葬所、同上。

Upon the death of Hikobei in the seventh month of that year, [it was noted that] his son Hanzaemon was capable of writing documents and performing accounting, was a man of ability, and being a hereditary retainer (fudai), he was granted his father's stipend (式), and was appointed to a shared post with Hayashi Seizaemon, as can be seen [from the records].
