樋口弥五兵衛の三男・郡治を婿養子に仕りたき旨、願いの通り仰せ任され候事。
一、同十七年子年六月十二日
六十九才にて病死。法名、直心淳行居士。葬所、江戸渋谷長谷寺。

His petition to take Gunji, the third son of Higuchi Yahyōbei, as his son-in-law and adopted heir, was granted as requested.

He died of illness at the age of sixty-nine. Posthumous Buddhist name (*hōmyō*): Jikishin Jun'kō Koji. Place of burial: Chōkoku-ji [Hasederai] Temple, Shibuya, Edo.
