第一 䗝（かいこ）に亭主（ていしゆ）の心付べき事
抑（そも〳〵）養蚕（ようさん）と は（いつは）其 家（いへ）の亭主（ていしゆ）の心掛なき家にては
必（かなら）ず間違（まちがひ）あるべし第一 䗝（かいこ）は正（たゞ）しき情（ぜう）を備（そなへ）たる
名虫（めいちう）なれば清浄（せうじやう）にして夫（ふう）婦 或（あるひ）は召夫（めしつかひ）に至（いた）る
まて詞（ことば）を乱（みだ）さず我か心を配（くば）り大切に養育（やういく）あるべし

第一 蚕に亭主の心がけるべきこと
そもそも養蚕というものは、その家の主人の心がけがない家では必ず失敗があるものである。第一に蚕は正しい情を備えた名虫であるから、清浄にして夫婦あるいは召使いに至るまで言葉を乱さず、我が心を配り大切に養育すべきである。ただ時の障害を逃れ、望む所の成就はその内にある。元来、女の陽気を取ることは心もとないものである。もっとも古より手練の人がいて蚕の失敗は稀であったが、しかしその年の陽気が不順な年には間違いがあって、それより手立て
