蚕を掃き始めてから常に自分の身を袷（薄い綿入れ）で寒い心持ちになって陽気を判断すべきである。たとえ掃き立ての時節でも暖かならば心配なく、高窓あるいは仕切りの戸をすべて開け払い、涼しくして掃き立てるべきである。ただし掃き下ろしてから三日間は涼しく養うべきである。これが蚕飼育の秘訣である。また小葉養いの手入れなどは熟練した人の真似をしてもよいが、陽気のことは人の真似をしてはならない。たとえば人が戸や窓を立て塞ぐのを見て、自分の
