（前頁より続き）丸山四郎兵衛の弟、吉五郎を養子にいたしたい旨を願い申し上げたところ、御下知が済まぬうちに病死いたしたため、病死後に願いの通りに取り計らわれた旨を、一類の者どもへ仰せ聞かせられた件。
一、同月二日、三十三歳にて病死。法名、温良院恭学譲謙居士。導師、祥雲山善龍寺。葬所、大窪山。

(Continued from previous page) ...a petition was submitted requesting permission to adopt Kichigoro, the younger brother of Maruyama Shirobei, as an heir. However, before the lord's authorization (o-gechi) could be granted, the retainer died of illness. After his death, the family was informed that the request would be honored posthumously, as communicated to all the relatives concerned.
One item: On the second day of the same month [fourth month of Kansei 4, 1792], he died of illness at the age of thirty-three. Posthumous Buddhist name (hōmyō): Onryōin Kyōgaku Jōken Koji. Officiating monk (dōshi): from Shōunzan Zenryūji temple. Place of burial: Ōkuboyama.
