一、同十午年（1798）〔見せ消ち：七〕七月、槍術稽古引通し、出精して九分以上柔らかにいたした段、奇特に思し召し、御褒美として綿一把を下し置かれた件。
一、同年九月、養父の実子孝麿を嫡子にいたしたき旨、願いの通り任ぜられた件。
一、同十二申年（1800）十二月、勘之丞と改名いたしたき旨、願いの通り任ぜられた件。
一、享和二戌年（1802）三月、学校誦師勤めを仰せ付けられ、これにより御城御番ならびに居役着到は御免になる旨、仰せ出された件。

One item: In the seventh month of the tenth year, the year of the Horse (1798) [strikethrough: seven, corrected to seven], he practiced spearmanship (sōjutsu) continuously throughout, and the fact that he performed with ease (yawara) to a degree of nine-tenths or better was considered admirable; he was accordingly awarded one bundle of cotton (wata hitotaba) as a reward.
One item: In the ninth month of the same year, his request to designate the biological son of his adoptive father, Takamaro, as his heir (chakushi) was granted in accordance with his petition.
One item: In the twelfth month of the twelfth year, the year of the Monkey (1800), his request to change his name to Kanonojō was granted in accordance with his petition.
One item: In the third month of Kyōwa 2, the year of the Dog (1802), he was appointed to serve as school recitation instructor (judoshi); accordingly, he was relieved of the duty of attending the muster roll (chakutō) for both castle guard (o-shiro o-ban) and residential duty (iryaku), as directed.
One item: In the third month of Bunka 2, the year of the Ox (1805), he was appointed to the temporary post of assistant district magistrate (go-daikan minarai), concurrently held on a provisional basis.
One item: In the seventh month of the third year [of Bunka], the year of the Tiger (1806), he was appointed to serve concurrently as assistant district magistrate (go-daikan minarai).
