被 仰付候間小普請料差出候様被
仰付梶原左門組江入候事
一同年九月為追鳥狩罷出候
但此後七度罷出候事
一同六寅年四月去秋追鳥狩之節足
並進退等宜相揃兼而内稽古等致
出精候故之儀と被 思召之旨被
仰出候
但此後毎度御賞美被成下候事
一同八辰年九月武芸致出精究候
業も有之候ニ付小普請料被成御免
出勤被 仰付 御城御番相勤候事
一同月兼而槍術不怠別而致出精候
儀と相見先達而皆共一覧之節業
をも宜致奇特成義ニ候依之御酒被下
置候此後猶以無懈怠仕合業等相励
ニ而可有之と 思召候旨被
仰出候事
一同十午年七月去ル卯年ゟ去年中
迄槍術稽古引通九分已上業致

- 一、同年九月、追鳥狩のため罷り出で候。
- ただし、此の後七度罷り出で候事。
- 一、同六寅年四月、去る秋の追鳥狩の節、足並み・進退等よく揃い、かねて内稽古等に出精致し候故の儀と思し召しの旨仰せ出され候。
- ただし、此の後毎度御賞美なされ下され候事。
- 一、同八辰年九月、武芸に出精し究め候業もこれ有り候に付き、小普請料御免なされ、出勤仰せ付けられ、御城御番相勤め候事。
- 一、同月、かねて槍術怠らず別して出精致し候儀と相見え、先達って皆共一覧の節、業をもよく致し、奇特なる義に候。これに依り御酒下し置かれ候。此の後なお以って懈怠無く、仕合業等相励み而(これ)有るべきと思し召し候旨仰せ出され候事。

(Continued from previous page) …he was ordered to submit the Kobushin fee [a levy paid by those in reserve status], and was assigned to the unit of Kajiwara Saemon.
- Item 1: In the 9th month of the same year [Kansei 5, 1793], he was called out to participate in the Otoritogari [a military field exercise involving bird hunting].
- Note: After this, he participated seven more times.
- Item 1: In the 4th month of the 6th year of the same era [Kansei 6, 1794, Year of the Tiger], it was proclaimed that during the previous autumn's Otoritogari exercises, his footwork, movement, and general conduct were well-ordered and coordinated, and this was deemed to be the result of his diligent private training.
- Note: After this, he was commended on every occasion.
- Item 1: In the 9th month of the 8th year of the same era [Kansei 8, 1796, Year of the Dragon], having shown diligence in the martial arts and achieved mastery in a recognized discipline, he was released from the Kobushin fee obligation, ordered to resume active duty, and assigned to castle guard service.
- Item 1: In the same month, it was noted that he had consistently practiced spearmanship without neglect and with particular diligence. During a prior group demonstration, his performance was also excellent and was regarded as admirable. Accordingly, he was granted a gift of sake. It was further proclaimed that he should continue henceforth without any slackening of effort, and continue to train diligently in his art.
