(前頁より続き)下し置かれ候事。 - 一、同八未年九月、新町小泉治右衛門の上ケ屋敷を下し置かれ候事。 - 一、同年十月、新町木間勘右衛門と屋敷を相対替え仕りたき旨、願いの通り任じられ候事。 - 一、同九申年十二月、三ノ丸教場ならびに本郷原において合隊稽古の儀、当春より改め手始めとなり候処、列伍・足並み等が相揃い候段、出精致し候故の義と思し召され候旨により、相組一同、御賞美成し下され候事。 - 一、同十四丑年十月、操練に出精よく相励み候に付き、御褒美として新身の鑓一穂下し置かれ候事。 - 一、文政六未年五月、御番内において刀槍を御覧遊ばされ候旨仰せ出され、両芸相済み、大書院の御縁通りにおいて御酒下し置かれ候事。

(Continued from previous page) …was granted [one set of seasonal clothing]. - Item 1: In the 9th month of the 8th year of the same era [Bunka 8, 1811, Year of the Sheep], he was granted the upper residence [age-yashiki] of Koizumi Jiuemon of Shinmachi. - Item 1: In the 10th month of the same year, his request to exchange residences [aitai-gae] with Kima Kanuemon of Shinmachi was approved in accordance with his petition. - Item 1: In the 12th month of the 9th year of the same era [Bunka 9, 1812, Year of the Monkey], regarding the combined unit drills [gōtai-keiko] held at the Third Citadel training ground [Sannomaru Kyōjō] and at Hongōhara — as this was the first such exercise reformed and initiated in the spring of that year, and as their formations [reigo] and marching in step [ashinami] were well-coordinated, this being regarded as a result of their diligent efforts — the entire unit [ai-gumi] was collectively praised and commended. - Item 1: In the 10th month of the 14th year of the same era [Bunka 14, 1817, Year of the Ox], having diligently and admirably devoted himself to military drills [sōren], he was granted, as a reward, one new spear [shinmi no yari ippō]. - Item 1: In the 5th month of the 6th year of Bunsei [1823, Year of the Sheep], it was announced that the lord would observe the swordsmanship and spear techniques [tōsō] of the guard unit [o-ban]. Upon the completion of both arts [ryōgei], sake was bestowed along the veranda of the Great Audience Chamber [Ōshoin no o-en-dōri].
