現代語訳
一、同年八月、頭（かしら）高橋小右衛門が御家老職に仰せ付けられ、その跡の御役は萱野権太夫組となり候事。
一、寛政元酉年九月、頭（かしら）萱野権大夫の御役義（やくぎ）召し上げられ候につき、跡の御役は一瀬伝五郎組となり候事。
一、同二戌年七月、頭（かしら）一瀬伝五郎の御役義召し上げられ候につき、跡の御役は杉田五郎兵衛組となり候事。
一、同四子年三月、追鳥狩（おいとりがり）に罷り出で候。
但し、此の後三度罷り出で候事。
一、同月、此の度追鳥狩の手始めの儀に候ところ、出精致し候と相見え、隊々宜しく相揃い、足並み等の稽古迚（とて）も有之間敷（あるまじき）、尤も日間も無之（これなき）義に候ところ、宜しく相揃い候様御覧なされ候旨、御沙汰の由、相組み一同に仰せ聞かされ候。
但し、此の後毎度御称美なされ下され候事。

1. In the 8th month of the same year [Tenmei 4]: The unit commander (kashira) Takahashi Koemon was appointed to the position of Elder (karō), and as a result, the successor unit assignment became that of Kayano Gondayū.
2. In the 9th month of Kansei 1, the year of the Rooster: As the unit commander Kayano Gondayū was relieved of his post, the successor unit assignment became that of Issei Dengoro.
3. In the 7th month of Kansei 2, the year of the Dog: As the unit commander Issei Dengoro was relieved of his post, the successor unit assignment became that of Sugita Gorōbei.
4. In the 3rd month of Kansei 4, the year of the Rat: He participated in the Oitorigari (the domain's large-scale military review and hunting exercise).
Note: He participated three more times after this.
5. In the same month: As this was the first occasion of the Oitorigari, it was observed that all had applied themselves diligently; the formations were well-ordered, and while one would not ordinarily expect such drill in foot-marching and the like — especially given the short time available for preparation — the units were seen to be well-coordinated, and this favorable assessment was conveyed by official proclamation to all unit members assembled together.
Note: On every subsequent occasion, he continued to receive commendation.
