〔伊右衛門光長の項、続き〕

　　但し、小原内記組にて相勤め候事

一、同五辰年正月、頭・小原内記が病死につき、跡御役、萱野蔵人組に罷り成り候事

一、同六巳年八月、追鳥狩に罷り出で候
　　但し、此の後三度罷り出で、壱度獲物を拝領仕り候事

一、同年十月、当追鳥狩の節、列伍・足並み等よろしく相揃い、運用滞りなき段、兼ねて合隊稽古をも出精致し候儀と思し召しの旨、相組一同、御称美なし下され候
　　但し、此の後毎度御称美なし下され候事

一、同十酉年十二月、一ノ小普請組を仰せ付けられ、学校奉行支配に仰せ付けられ候事

一、同十二亥年六月、武芸出精、極みの業も相聞こえ候につき、小普請料御免なされ、外様組付を仰せ付けられ、内藤介右衛門組へ入り、御城御番相勤め候事

　　Note: He served in the unit of Obara Naiki.

1. In the 1st month of the 5th year [Bunka 8, year of the Dragon, 1808]: As the unit commander Obara Naiki died of illness, the successor unit assignment was transferred to the unit of Kayano Kurando.

1. In the 8th month of the 6th year [Bunka 9, year of the Snake, 1809]: He went out to participate in the *Oitorigari* (the domain's ceremonial hunting exercise).
　　Note: After this, he participated three times [in total], and on one occasion received a gift of game [from the lord].

1. In the 10th month of the same year: On the occasion of that *Oitorigari*, [it was recognized that] the formation, marching order, and overall conduct were well-organized and the operation proceeded without delay. Recognizing that this was owing to diligent practice in combined-unit drills, the entire unit was commended by the lord.
　　Note: After this, commendations were received on every such occasion.

1. In the 12th month of the 10th year [Bunka 13, year of the Rooster, 1813]: Was assigned to the First *Kofushin* unit, placed under the supervision of the *Gakkō Bugyō* (Magistrate of the Domain School).

1. In the 6th month of the 12th year [Bunka 15 / Bunkā 15, year of the Boar, 1815]: As it had become known that he had excelled in martial arts and attained the highest level of proficiency, he was exempted from the *kofushin* fee, was assigned to the *tozama* unit, entered the unit of Naitō Sukeuemon, and served in the castle guard duty.
