一同二戌年七月赤羽太郎左衛門上屋敷
被下置候事
一同四子年三月追鳥狩之節罷出候
但此後六度罷出内壱度獲拝領
仕候事
一同月此度追鳥狩手始ニ候処出精
致候と相見隊々宜相揃組士之義ハ被
仰出以前足並稽古迚も有之間敷
尤日間も無之義ニ候所宜相揃候様ニ
御覧被成候旨相組一同御賞美被成下候
但此後毎度御賞美被成下候事
一同七卯年九月去ル子年ゟ去年中
迄槍術稽古引通出精致候由ニ付
為御褒美綿壱把被下置候事
一同十午年七月去卯年ゟ去年中
迄槍術稽古引通精出七分以上
之業致候段奇特ニ被思召候段被
仰出候事
一同十二申年九月頭横山瀧右衛門願
現代語訳
一、同（寛政元酉年九月）、横山瀧右衛門組に罷り成った事。
一、同二戌年七月、赤羽太郎左衛門上屋敷を下し置かれた事。
一、同四子年三月、追鳥狩の節に罷り出た事。
但し、この後六度罷り出、内一度獲を拝領仕った事。
一、同月、この度の追鳥狩は手始めにつき、出精致したと相見え、隊々宜しく相揃い、組士の義は仰せ出される以前より足並みの稽古とても有りがたく、日間も無き義のところ、宜しく相揃った様に御覧になられた旨、相組一同御賞美下された事。
但し、この後毎度御賞美下された事。
一、同七卯年九月、去る子年より去年中まで槍術稽古を引き通し出精致した由につき、御褒美として綿一把を下し置かれた事。
一、同十午年七月、去る卯年より去年中まで槍術稽古を引き通し精出し、七分以上の業を致した段、奇特に思し召された段を仰せ出された事。

英語訳
One: In the same [ninth month of the first year of Kansei, 1789, the year of the Rooster], he was placed into the unit of Yokoyama Takiuemon.
One: In the seventh month of the second year [of Kansei, 1790, the year of the Dog], the upper residence [kami-yashiki] of Akabane Tarōzaemon was granted to him.
One: In the third month of the fourth year [of Kansei, 1792, the year of the Rat], he turned out for the tori-oi-gari [the domain's ceremonial hunt].
Note: After this, he turned out for the hunt six times in total, and on one of those occasions received a game animal as a grant.
One: In the same month, as this was the first time [he participated in] the tori-oi-gari, he appeared to have served diligently, and each unit assembled in fine order. As for the unit members, it was all the more remarkable that they had drilled their marching and formation even before the order was issued, with little time available; it was noted that they appeared to have assembled in fine order. The entire unit received commendation together.
Note: After this, they received commendation on every subsequent occasion.
One: In the ninth month of the seventh year [of Kansei, 1795, the year of the Rabbit], as he had continuously pursued spear [sōjutsu] training from the year of the Rat [1792] through the previous year without interruption and with great diligence, he was granted one bundle of cotton as a reward.
One: In the seventh month of the tenth year [of Kansei, 1798, the year of the Horse], it was officially declared that it was considered admirable that, from the year of the Rabbit [1795] through the previous year, he had continuously and diligently pursued spear training and attained a level of skill of seven-tenths proficiency or above.
One: In the ninth month of the twelfth year [of Kansei, 1800, the year of the Monkey], his superior [kashira], Yokoyama Takiuemon, submitted a petition... [continues on the next page]
