差上申一札之事
一他国石切旅稼ニ罷出候者儀五人組切々銘々吟
味仕候様可仕候事
一従 御公儀様被 仰付御法度之儀於旅先
も相背申間敷候此段堅相守可申付候様被
仰付奉得其意候御事
一此者共儀旅先定宿等脇書ニ相記候通り少
も相違無御座候若暮ニ至【「不」脱】罷帰者候ハヽ請

現代語訳
差し上げ申す一札の事
一、他国での石切り出稼ぎに出かける者について、五人組で互いによく吟味するようにすること。
一、幕府様から仰せつけられた御法度について、旅先においても違反してはならない。この点をしっかりと守るよう申し付けるように仰せつけられ、承知いたしました。
一、この者たちについて、旅先の定宿等は脇書に記した通りで、少しも相違ございません。もし暮れになっても帰らない者がいれば、請人並びに五人組中で御注進いたします。もちろん無事に帰ってきた場合も御支配様へ御届け申し上げます。
付け加えて、少々の持ち高であっても田畑を荒らしてはならず、他へ預けておく場合も粗末に扱わないよう、妻子もしっかりと心得るよう申し付けます。

A Pledge Document
1. Regarding those who go to other provinces for stone-cutting work, the five-person groups shall carefully examine each member.
1. Concerning the prohibitions issued by the Shogunate, they must not violate them even while traveling. We have understood and accepted the order to strictly observe this point.
1. Regarding these individuals, their designated lodgings at their destinations are exactly as recorded in the side notes, with no discrepancies. Should any fail to return by year's end, the guarantors and five-person group members will report this. Of course, when they return safely, we will also report to the supervising officials.
Additionally, even if they have small landholdings, they must not let their rice fields and dry fields go to waste, and when entrusting them to others, both they and their wives and children must understand not to treat them carelessly.
