今回、諸社へ寄進状の通り武器を奉納するのは、全て拝領して以来、版籍奉還まで積年の報恩であり、今後も諸神の御徳によって一郷一村の氏子共が永世安泰でありますよう願う志によるものです。常々皆で預かりいたし、後世まで違失のないよう致すものです。

The dedication of weapons to various shrines as stated in the donation document is entirely an expression of gratitude accumulated over the years from when they were first received until the return of domain registers to the emperor. It is our earnest wish that through the divine virtues of the various deities, the parishioners of each district and village may enjoy eternal peace and safety. We shall always safeguard these items collectively and ensure they are not lost or damaged for future generations.
