## 【本文注記】

人皇百五代・後土御門天皇の御代、明応七年（1498年）八月六日、大地震が起きて、湖（浜名湖）と潮（海）とが一つとなり、入り海となった。これを今切（いまきれ）と言う。

後柏原天皇・永正七年（1510年）八月二十七日、螺（ほら貝のような音）が出て山崩れがあったと云う。〔応仁紀に出ん〕

## Historical Notes:

In the reign of the 105th human emperor, Emperor Gototsumikado, on the sixth day of the eighth month of the seventh year of Meiō (1498), a great earthquake struck, and the lake (Lake Hamana) and the sea merged into one, becoming an inlet (*iriumi*). This is called the Imagire ("the newly opened cut").

In the reign of Emperor Gokashiwabara, on the twenty-seventh day of the eighth month of the seventh year of Eishō (1510), there was a sound like a conch shell (*hora*), followed by a landslide, it is said. [This is recorded in the *Ōnin Chronicle* (*Ōnin-ki*).]
