斯る十月五日未の刻江戸ゟ早飛脚夜お日に
継て立帰り御奉行所ゟの御教書指上けれ
は御大老拝見有し所此度百姓騒動の事
被申越候若百姓理不盡に騒立狼藉を致
に於ては早速召捕可申候と申来りけれは去ば
迚領内に相觸させ奉は大久保の橋布の下の
舩嶋川原の橋の中の間引放し拝毛山の瀬へは
番人を付大矢の橋も沢の舟場等おば塩川
長瀬丸子芦田八ケ等ゟ相可＿レ守由東は十三村
え申付大石口ヘ出張して所々方々へ捕手

このような状況の中、十月五日未の刻（午後二時頃）に、江戸から早飛脚が昼夜を継いで走り帰り、御奉行所からの御教書（公文書）が差し上げられた。御大老がこれを拝見されたところ、「この度の百姓騒動の件について申し越された。もし百姓が道理に外れた行いで騒ぎ立て、狼藉を働くようであれば、早速召し捕えるべし」との指示が来ていた。
それならばということで、領内に触れを出し、大久保の橋・布の下の舟・嶋川原の橋の中ほどの間は（渡船を）引き放し、拝毛山の瀬には番人を付け、大矢の橋や沢の舟場などは塩川・長瀬・丸子・芦田・八ヶ等から守るよう手配し、東は十三村へ申し付け、大石口へ出張して、所々あちこちへ捕り手の人数を伏せ置き、要所要所を守らせた。飛ぶ鳥でなければ逃れ難いと、秋には見えにけり。

**The Affair of the Swift Return to Komoro**
In the midst of such circumstances, on the fifth day of the tenth month, around the Hour of the Sheep (approximately 2 p.m.), an express messenger arrived after traveling day and night from Edo, delivering an official dispatch from the magistrate's office. When the Senior Elder (Ōrō) reviewed it, the message read: "Regarding the peasant uprising that has been reported — should the peasants act unreasonably, causing disturbances and committing acts of lawlessness, they are to be arrested immediately."
Accordingly, notices were sent throughout the domain. Between the bridges at Ōkubo, the boats below Nunoshita, and the bridge in the middle of Shimagawara, ferries were cut loose and set adrift. A guard was posted at the shallows of Haigeyama. The bridge at Ōya and the boat landings at Sawa were to be guarded by men from Shiokawa, Nagase, Maruko, Ashida, Hakkā, and other places.
