一向（ヒタスラ）罷出相防旲義に及はヽ片端搦取可然と
ぞ被申ける若士衆御組中も是に同じ皆罷

ひたすら罷り出て相防ぐことになれば、片端から搦め取るのが然るべきであると申された。若侍衆・御組中もこれに同じく、皆罷り出て相防いで武力の程を示さんと、各々力み立って騒ぐ。大老はこれをしきりに制し給うと雖も聞き入れず、御組大将が申されるには「兎にも角にも我々が願いに任せて相防ぐよう仰せ付けくださるよう。もし何か落ち度と相成れば、某一人が咎を蒙り切腹仕るべしと思い込んで」願われた。大老も是非なく「それならば皆々の所存に任せるべきだが、しかし甲冑にては相成らぬ。火消し装束にて与良口を相固めるべし」と仰せられた。これにより与良口に幕を張り、色々の兵器を並べ、弓・鉄砲の油断を逃がし、槍・長刀の鞘を取り、鉄砲に火縄を懸けて、今や来かと待ち構えたのは厳重に見えた。十月四日、騒動は塩名田より耳取を過ぎ、森山を踏み散らして小諸へ出んと六道原まで押し迫った所に、与良口の堅めが甚だしく、鉄砲の音が山野に響き渡り…
