一元文四未三月廿五日妙蔵寺持分七面山祖師堂之前ゟ遠的射申事数度有之参詣人立も候時分迷惑仕候旨願口上書指出候得共只今
迄射申候場所相止候様ニも難被仰付候此以後者七面人立多祭礼等之節ハ致遠慮候様師匠〳〵へ可申通旨目付中へ申渡事ニ候左
様可相心得旨土屋十郎右衛門へ申渡之同断師匠〳〵へ寄々可申通旨御目付西尾源太左衛門へ申渡之
一宝暦元未八月七日家所惣左衛門儀不勝手ニ付鉄炮指南之儀可致難儀候間御免被成候旨右御中老永見右門宅へ惣左衛門相招銀三枚御目

刀槍柔術
一明和八卯年勝山浪人林織居と申者渋谷権左衛門方ニ逗留中坂上又兵衛方へ弟子入

芸伝来之書物不残御上へ差上可申候牧野織之助《割書:番頭|と見ゆ》相達候内狛子流覚罷在由ニ候へ共訳も有之家名相続被仰付候此方
ニ候得ハ家業趣法之上ハ名字断絶可被仰付事ニ候乍然右狛子流柔之儀御家中ニ功者成者も不相聞候間亦々各別之御憐愍
を以て其侭名字被下置候右柔之儀随分致修行望之者も候ハヽ無遠慮可致相談候
現代語訳
一、寛保二年戌八月十一日、例年の如く当十九日より二十八日まで三の丸において諸組の者共への目見えを仰せ付けられるべきかと田辺五大夫が伺ったところ、右の伺いの通り申し付けるべき旨を松平主馬方より申し渡された。並びに師役の面々は前々の如く諸組目見えの節三の丸へ詰めるよう申し達すべきか、且つまた諸組の者共目見えを仰せ付けられる前々の通り五日前より修羅筒を拝借仰せ付けられるべきかと右同人が達したところ、前々の通り申し付けるべき旨を申し聞かされた。
一、元文四年未三月二十五日、妙蔵寺持分七面山祖師堂の前より遠的射をすることが数度あり、参詣人の立ち合いもある時分で迷惑をする旨の願い口上書を指し出したが、只今まで射ていた場所を止めるよう申し付けることも困難である。この以後は七面で人立ちの多い祭礼等の節は遠慮するよう師匠方へ申し通すべき旨を目付中へ申し渡したことである。そのよう心得るべき旨を土屋十郎右衛門へ申し渡し、同断で師匠方へ寄り合い申し通すべき旨を御目付西尾源太左衛門へ申し渡した。
一、宝暦元年未八月七日、家所惣左衛門は不如意のため鉄砲指南のことは致し難く困難なので御免になる旨、右御中老永見右門宅へ惣左衛門を招き、銀三枚の御目録を前々の通り下し置き、その上で申し渡した。九月二日惣左衛門の鉄砲場を指し上げたので、屋敷奉行が地面を相改め受け取り地主へ相渡した由を御目付奈良権左衛門が達した。
刀槍柔術
一、明和八年卯年、勝山浪人林織居という者が渋谷権左衛門方に逗留中、坂上又兵衛方へ弟子入りして稽古することを権左衛門並びに又兵衛より御目付へ物語で済ませたこと。
一、寛政元年酉八月五日、諸稽古所の撓竹を御員数で下され不足の分を山方で伐らせて下されること。但し員数は決まっていること。
一、天保三年辰六月八日、左の通り相願い御家老中へ相達したところ、願いの通り御書付をもって申し聞かされ、その段を別吉儀作大夫宅へ招いて申し達した。
口上の覚
土井能登守殿家中荒川新助という者が私方の柔術に執心につき相談したい旨申し聞いたので、柔術相談をして遣りたく願い奉る。この等の趣宜しく御取扱い下されるべし。以上

その方の親彦三郎は最前養子不和につき相返したが、最早養子を相願うことも難しい品であるところ、その後家業申し立てることもあり流儀断絶の段御残念に思し召され、格別の趣をもって御上よりその方を養子に仰せ付けられた。然るところ彦三郎に相伝せず、その方も参り届かない段相聞き、重々不届き至極である。然る上は射芸伝来の書物を残らず御上へ差し上げるべし。牧野織之助(番頭と見ゆ)が達した内容では狛子流の覚えが罷り在る由であるが、訳もあり家名相続を仰せ付けられたこの方であるので、家業趣法の上は名字断絶を仰せ付けられることである。しかしながら右狛子流柔術のこと、御家中に功者なる者も相聞こえないので、又々格別の御憐愍をもってそのまま名字を下し置かれた。右柔術のこと随分修行を致し望む者もいるなら遠慮なく相談すべし。

On the 11th day of the 8th month of Kanpō 2, Tanabe Godayū inquired whether, as in previous years, audiences should be ordered for members of various groups at Sannomaru from the 19th to the 28th of this month. Matsudaira Shuma's office replied that it should be arranged as inquired. Additionally, when asked whether instructor officials should be stationed at Sannomaru during group audiences as before, and whether borrowing of shura firearms should be ordered five days in advance as previously done, the same person was told to proceed as before.
1. On the 25th day of the 3rd month of Genbun 4, a petition was submitted stating that long-distance archery practiced numerous times in front of Soshidō Hall at Shichimenyama, owned by Myōzōji Temple, caused inconvenience during times when worshippers were present. However, it was difficult to order the cessation of shooting at locations used until now. Henceforth, during festivals and other occasions when many people gather at Shichimen, restraint should be exercised, and this should be communicated to the instructors through the inspectors. Tsuchiya Jūroemon was told to keep this in mind, and Inspector Nishio Gentazaemon was instructed to communicate this to the instructors at their meetings.
1. On the 7th day of the 8th month of Hōreki 1, Iesho Sōzaemon was released from firearms instruction duties due to financial difficulties. Senior Counselor Nagami Uemon summoned Sōzaemon to his residence, granted him three pieces of silver as a customary farewell gift, and made this announcement. On the 2nd day of the 9th month, when Sōzaemon surrendered his firearms range, the Estate Magistrate inspected the land, received it, and returned it to the landowner, as reported by Inspector Nara Gonzaemon.
SWORDSMANSHIP, SPEARMANSHIP, AND JUJUTSU
1. In the 8th year of Meiwa, a Katsuyama rōnin named Hayashi Orii, while staying at Shibutani Gonzaemon's residence, became a disciple at Sakaue Matahei's establishment for practice, which was informally settled through reports by Gonzaemon and Matahei to the inspectors.
1. On the 5th day of the 8th month of Kansei 1, bamboo practice swords were provided to various training halls according to official quotas, with shortfalls supplemented by cutting from mountain areas. However, the quotas were fixed.

Your father Hikosaburō previously returned an adopted son due to discord, and it became difficult to request another adoption. Subsequently, when family business matters arose and the discontinuation of the school tradition was regretfully considered, you were specially appointed as adopted son by the authorities. However, it was learned that Hikosaburō did not transmit [the techniques] properly and you also did not attend properly, which is extremely improper. Therefore, all books on archery traditions must be submitted to the authorities. According to Makino Orinosuke (appears to be a squad leader), while knowledge of the Komako school remains, given the circumstances of family name succession being ordered, discontinuation of the name would normally be ordered regarding family business methods. Nevertheless, since no experts in this Komako school jujutsu are heard of in the household, through special compassion the family name is allowed to continue. Regarding this jujutsu, if there are those who earnestly wish to practice it, feel free to consult without reservation.
