皇太后宮（くわうたいこうぐう）
伊香保（いかほ）行啓（ぎやうけい）の途中（とちう）
渋川村（しぶかはむら）の松下（まつかげ）に憩（いこ）はせ
らる土人（どじん）この祝詠（しゆくえい）を
博房卿（ひろふさきやう）に需（もとめ）て
寿碑（いしぶみ）に立（た）て是（これ）を
御影（みかげ）の松（まつ）と称嘆（しようたん）す
芝中（しばなか）の松（まつ）のやどりに千代（ちよ）かけて
残（のこ）るは君（きみ）がみかげなりけり

御影の松
明治十二年七月二十日、皇太后宮が伊香保行啓の途中、渋川村の松陰で休憩されました。地元の人々がこの祝賀の歌を博房卿に求めて、記念碑に刻んで建て、これを「御影の松」と称えて讃えています。
芝中の松の宿りに千代かけて
残るは君が御影なりけり

The Pine of Imperial Presence (Mikage no Matsu)
On July 20th, Meiji 12 (1879), during the Imperial Dowager's journey to Ikaho, she rested under the shade of a pine tree in Shibukawa Village. The local people requested a commemorative poem from Lord Hirofusa, which they inscribed on a stone monument, and they praise and celebrate this tree as the "Pine of Imperial Presence."
Under the pine shelter in Shibanaka,
May it endure for a thousand generations—
What remains is Your Majesty's gracious presence.
