現代語訳
尋ねてみると、植田が商売で役人に一遍つらい思いをした。元は草の町人であったが、今は公儀へも付き合い、上流階級と交わり、裏では備前藩家は犬猫鼠のように卑屈になって、二季（税）を免除してもらい大小（刀）を差して、金を見たほどにも思ってくれない。今度の水害で貧乏になり始め、心ばかりが高慢な植田のようになってみなさい。貧乏すればどんと落ちるのは何ということか、ここに
