明治十四年一月の吉日より製糸機械を新築し、六月に至り落成。同月二十九日吉日、天気快晴にて製糸の取り初めを行う。二十五日、工女一同へ日程を事前通知。
六月二十八日午後四時過ぎ、殿垣外の北原氏が取り初めのため御出でになり宿泊。
同二十九日午前八時より工女が次々と参集。

From an auspicious day in January of Meiji 14 (1881), construction of silk reeling machinery began, and was completed in June. On the 29th day of the same month, an auspicious day with clear weather, the first silk reeling ceremony was conducted. On the 25th, all female workers were notified of the schedule in advance.
On June 28th, after 4 PM, Mr. Kitahara from Tonogaito came to attend the inaugural ceremony and stayed overnight.
On the 29th, from 8 AM, female workers gathered one after another.
