厚ク思召ヲ以右家屋敷我等江御譲り被下忝奉存
所持罷在候処明治六年地券御改正之際我等名
前ニ而ハ不都合ニ付池上本衛殿伊藤栄蔵殿御両名ニテ
地券御請置被下候段全御両所之御厚情と忝奉存候
弥以永ク所持仕度所今般伊藤久蔵ヨリ先年之

厚いお心遣いをもって右の家屋敷を私どもへお譲りくださり、ありがたく存じ、所持しておりましたところ、明治六年の地券御改正の際、私ども名前では不都合につき、池上本衛殿、伊藤栄蔵殿のお二方にて地券をお受け置きくださった段、全くお二方のご厚情とありがたく存じております。いよいよ永く所持したく存じておりましたところ、今般伊藤久蔵より先年の件をもって家屋地を譲り受けたいとのご相談につき、従前の御役家各位へご相談に及びましたところ、ご承知となりました。よって譲り渡しの趣意として金三十円也を私ども正に受け取り申した所、正真正銘でございます。そうである以上は、向後家敷地につき争い申すことはございません。よって久蔵へ譲り渡し、地券書のお書き換え願いの件は、お二方よりお願い申しくださいませ。向後いかなることを申し候とも、私どもはどこまでも参り出て申し上げ、お二方へ少しもご迷惑をおかけ申すことはございません。後日のための証書として、よってくだんのごとし。

Through your generous consideration, you granted us the aforementioned house and residential plot, which we gratefully possessed. However, during the land certificate reform of Meiji 6 (1873), it was inconvenient under our names, so Ikegami Motoe and Ito Eizo, both gentlemen, graciously took custody of the land certificate on our behalf. We are deeply grateful for the generous kindness of both parties. We had intended to possess it permanently, but recently Ito Kyuzo approached us with a proposal to transfer the house and land to him based on previous arrangements. We consulted with the former officials, and they gave their approval. Therefore, as consideration for the transfer, we have properly received thirty yen, which is genuine. Under these circumstances, we will not dispute the residential plot in the future. Therefore, regarding the transfer to Kyuzo and the application to rewrite the land certificate, please make the application on behalf of both parties. Whatever matters may arise in the future, we will come forward ourselves and will not cause any trouble whatsoever to both parties. This certificate is for future reference, thus as stated above.
