差上申一札之事
兼々被 仰出候博奕賭之諸勝負者
不申及惣而御沙汰筋厳重ニ相守可申候
中ニ者心得違之者有之御差押ニ相成重々
奉恐入候向後者五人組頭急度為相守可申候
万一心得違之者御座候ハゝ隣家組合之者
ゟ精々異見差加へ改心為仕其上茂可
相用義被及 御聞何様之蒙御沙汰候
共一言之申訳仕間敷候依之一同連印仕
差上申候処相違無御座候以上

差し上げ申す一札の事
かねがね仰せ出されている博奕・賭けの諸勝負は申すまでもなく、総じて御沙汰筋を厳重に相守り申すべく候。中には心得違いの者がおり、御差し押さえとなり、重々恐れ入り奉り候。今後は五人組頭が急度相守らせ申すべく候。万一心得違いの者がおりましたならば、隣家・組合の者より精々異見を差し加え改心させ、その上でも御用いになる義が御聞きに及び、何様の御沙汰を蒙ろうとも、一言の申し訳は致すべからず候。これにより一同連印致し差し上げ申す処、相違なく御座候。以上

A Written Pledge Respectfully Submitted
Regarding gambling and betting of all kinds of contests, which have been repeatedly prohibited, we shall strictly observe all official directives without exception. Among us there have been those who acted contrary to regulations, resulting in official seizure, for which we are deeply ashamed. Hereafter, the five-household group heads shall strictly ensure compliance. Should there be anyone who acts contrary to the regulations, neighbors and group members shall earnestly provide counsel to reform their behavior. Even after such efforts, should their misconduct come to official attention and whatever punishment be decreed, we shall offer no excuse whatsoever. Therefore, we all jointly affix our seals and submit this pledge without any falsification. The above.
