以書付被 仰出候趣久敷無に候間猶又相触に而も可然哉と

元禄十四巳年
十一年以前の未年六月に博奕の処罰を行った際、御一門へ書付をもって仰せ出された趣旨が久しく無沙汰になっているので、なお再び相触れするのがよいのではないかと目付中が申し達したため、相触れするようにと申し渡した。
覚
一博奕の儀は兼ねてから御制禁である。なお一層博奕をしないよう、面々の支配下の者並びに召し使いの下々に至るまで堅く相守るよう申し付けるべきである。
一親類縁者といえども、常に博奕を続けている不届き者は屋敷の内に置いてはならない。
一小身の輩は未年の通りであって、自分勝手ということは許されない。
右の趣旨をきっと相守るべきである。もし背く輩がいれば、主人が越度（落ち度）となる旨である。以上

○When samurai and others traveling to Edo or other domains on official or private business wish to bring along relatives or family connections, until now they have submitted petitions and brought them along. From now on, even if members of their group or retainers and other ordinary people are concealed, they are strictly forbidden from bringing them along. If someone wishes to bring relatives or family connections, their patron or master must petition the senior retainers and act according to their instructions. Therefore, understand the above.
