江戸ゟ罷帰候并同組之者共は同道仕罷帰候儀苦間敷哉壱人に而罷帰候得は
宿等も貸兼申何も迷惑仕段申聞候依之酒井典膳方へ相伺候処同組之者は不
及申御扶持人之数に而候へは同道仕不苦候若御家中家来同道仕度と申候はゝ

一御足軽御扶持人子共或は親類縁者に而も御扶持人に而無之者は同道仕儀御

現代語訳
【右丁】
江戸から帰参する際、並びに同組の者共も同道して帰参する儀は苦しくないだろうか。一人で帰参すれば宿等も貸し兼ね、何かと迷惑する段を申し聞いた。これにより酒井典膳方へ相伺いしたところ、同組の者は申すに及ばず、御扶持人の数多くであるから同道しても苦しくない。もし御家中の家来を同道したいと申すならば、その主人から頼み申して確かな儀であれば苦しくない旨。
一 御足軽・御扶持人の子供或いは親類縁者でも御扶持人でない者は同道する儀は御法度、浪人・町人の類は堅く同道しない筈の旨である。もし親類縁者を同道したい旨申し出るならば、寄親・主人から御家老中へ願い申し上げ、指図次第にすべき旨につき、この段を御先物頭中へ申し達した。

If one returns alone, lodgings would be reluctant to accommodate them, causing various inconveniences, as has been reported. Therefore, when inquiring with Sakai Tenzen's office, it was stated that not only members of the same group, but since there are many stipend recipients, it would not be troublesome for them to travel together. If someone wishes to bring along retainers from the lord's household, as long as their master makes a proper request and the matter is certain, it would not be troublesome.
1. Children of ashigaru foot soldiers and stipend recipients, or relatives and family connections who are not stipend recipients, are forbidden from traveling together. Masterless samurai and townspeople are strictly prohibited from accompanying them. If someone wishes to bring relatives or family connections, their patron or master must petition the senior retainers and act according to their instructions. This matter has been communicated to the senior ashigaru commanders.
○A woman of about fifty years of age was found dead in the moat in front of Yukifuki Kizaemon's residence. All retainers and others should be questioned, and if anyone knows about this woman's circumstances, they should report it. Therefore, understand this matter. The above.

○Since pigeons have become scarce at the various river gates, all should strictly order their subordinates down to the lowest ranks not to catch pigeons within their estate grounds.
