右の御触れがあったことにより、追放を申し付けた者などを差し許すとのことを目付中まで申し述べた方々もいるが、御触れの通り、各々
の手前において詮議次第のことであるので、こちらでは承るには及ばない旨挨拶しておいた。御家老中もその通りでよいと
仰せ聞かされた。【朱書】「八百里案ずるに、一昨（三日）御当座の御法事につき御触以下赦しの仰せ付けがあり、今日このように仰せ出されたのである」

一正徳二辰年
三月二十二日、御目付井上半太夫・小川与衛門が町奉行・海福猪兵衛の方へ出向き、博打の
まがいのことは以前より堅く御法度であるが、当町中でかるた商売がいまだ止まず、一両日中に
御触を差し出す意向があるので、その際に町中にある商売かるたを残らず取り上げること。
もちろん今後はかるた商売を停止するよう申し付けること。また、当春より今まで売ったかるたについて
いかなる状況か詮議するよう申し談じ、翌二十三日に以下の通り御触を差し出した。
【脇書】「御家老中留をもって校合」
○博打のことはかねがね堅く御法度であるので、人々は慎むべきことである。しかしながら末々に至っては博打まがいの
ことをするようにも聞き及び、まことに不届き至極である。この後は知れ次第、厳しく申し付けられるべきであるから、各々はその意を得て、下々へも
いっそう堅く申し付けること。また、火事の時節でもあるので、火の用心についても末々まで油断のないよう申し付けること。

江戸において
○各々の御長屋は詰まっていて、湯殿（風呂場）を設けることもできないことと思われるので、御屋敷近所の湯屋（銭湯）へ入ることを御免と
なされた。洗い場の状況であれば、入り混じることになるので、粗暴なことをせず、口論のないよう慎むこと。なお、風の
強い日は外出することは無用とすべき旨であるので、その意をご理解いただきたい。以上

Following the above notice, some individuals reported to the Inspectors that they had pardoned those they had ordered into exile. However, as the notice states, this is a matter to be handled at each person's own discretion following investigation, and there is no need for us to receive such reports — this response was conveyed to them. On the 22nd day of the 3rd month, Inspector Inoue Handayū and Ogawa Yoemon called upon the town magistrate Kaifuku Ihē and discussed: gambling and related activities have long been strictly prohibited, yet card (karuta) selling in the town has still not ceased. An official notice is to be issued within the next day or two, at which time all commercial karuta cards found in the town are to be confiscated without exception. Furthermore, karuta selling is to be prohibited going forward. They also agreed to investigate what had become of the karuta cards sold since this past spring.
