○追而火之元之儀時節柄と申候取分此間町方へ夜中投火仕者有之旨に候
猶又被相廻候節弥念を入被申候無心元者も候はゝ可有吟味旨御家老中被仰

○火之元之儀兼而面々相慎事に候得共猶以御留守之節にも候間火之元末

御前にお伺いを立て、江戸表へ申し越すよう仰せになった。そこで御触書の案文を作成し、
御前にお伺いを立てたところ、この通り申し遣わすべき旨を仰せ付けられたので、今十日の御飛脚に
與右衛門方へ申し遣わした。内容は以下の通り。
江戸表において
○近頃、御屋敷内で博打に似た慰み事をしている者がいると聞いている。博打については以前から
厳しく御法度であるのに、このうえなく不届きな事である。今後、博打に似た慰み事は固く行ってはならない。
さらに目付の者に申し付けて詳細に吟味を行うので、もし末端の者に至るまで少しでも背く
者がいた場合は、厳しく御仕置きを仰せ付ける旨であるから、今後よく慎むこと。以上

夜廻り割替の件について、その節に追って書き記した覚え書き
○追って、火の元の件については時節柄とも言えるが、とりわけこの間、町方へ夜中に火を投じる者がいるとのことである。
さらに夜廻りをする節は一層念を入れて行うこと。不審な者がいれば吟味すべき旨、御家老中が仰せ
聞かされたので、よく心得ること。以上

近頃は乱れている様子も聞こえる。今後、使いなどを差し出す時、あるいは末端の者が自分の用事で往来する際も、
五ツ時より前は以前の通り提灯を立てるよう申し付けること。乱れた行いがあれば厳しく改める予定であるので、
よく心得ること。以上

○江戸表へ御飛脚が参る節、御家中からの寄状の分が嵩高になって毎度滞ることがある。
嵩が（高く）なると、特に御用のない時期でも御飛脚を立てることになる。そこで今後、嵩高な書状は
固く取り次いではならない旨であるから、そのように心得て、用事がある際はできるだけ嵩低く
まとめて差し出すこと。以上

they should be instructed to carry lanterns before the hour of Itsutsu as was the previous practice. Should there be any disorderly conduct, strict corrections will be made,
