底に相聞候猶又支配候はゝ御申渡無断者隠シ置不申様に不被申付候若御触之

牛所持候者有之候はゝ早速御達可有之候猶又家中或は町人百姓に至迄白牛
牽通候を見懸候はゝ右之趣承届拙者共月番迄御申聞可被成候此段申送候様に御
家老中被仰渡候間寄々御申送可被成候為其如此候以上

後◯火の元のことについては、兼ねてより御触れがあったが、この時節であるから、なお一層火の用心に念を入れるよう申し付けるべき旨であるから、各位はその意を得て、下々へも固く申し付けること。以上

【八百里による注記】案ずるに、この文段以後は例年の儀に相成ったため、一々記さない。
前◯手紙をもって申し達す。下々の奉公人出替えの時節につき、以前御触れを差し出した節に切紙をもって申し達した通り、支配下においては急ぎ御申し渡しあるべきと存ずる。当春、奉公人が主人を選り好みしている様子で、払底と聞こえる。なお、支配下においては御申し渡しの上、無断で者を隠し置かないよう申し付けること。もし御触れの趣に背く者があれば、御吟味の上、急ぎ仰せ付けるべき旨であるから、その意を得て、引き続き申し渡すこと。以上

右は、近年女奉公人が早く出替えしていることにつき、御触れの通り【脇書「弥」】相守るよう【脇書「可」】申し送るべき旨を、御家老中より申し渡されたため、御家中ならびにそれぞれへ手紙をもって右の通り申し達した。
◯手紙をもって申し達す。江戸表において、公儀御役人・細田弥三郎殿より申し渡されたことは、御国内において白牛を所持する者があれば、早速御達あるべきこと、なお、家中あるいは町人・百姓に至るまで、白牛を牽いて通るのを見かけた場合は、右の趣を承け届け、拙者ども月番まで御申し聞かせること。この段、御家老中より申し渡されたことにより、それぞれ御申し送りあること。そのためにこのようにする。以上

As it is the season for the turnover of servants in the lower ranks, as was communicated by written notice at the time the previous notice was issued, those under your jurisdiction should be promptly instructed accordingly. This spring, it is heard that servants are scarce, as they appear to be choosing their employers carefully. Furthermore, those under your jurisdiction are to be instructed, following proper notification, not to conceal anyone without authorization. Should there be anyone who contravenes the intent of the notice, they are to be dealt with promptly following investigation. Be aware of this and continue to issue the appropriate instructions. In Edo, the shogunate official Hosoda Yasaburō has made the following pronouncement: if there is anyone within the domain who possesses a white ox, this is to be reported immediately; furthermore, should any member of the retainer community, townspeople, or farmers happen to see a white ox being led along the road, they are to ascertain the relevant details and report them to us during our monthly duty. As the senior councillors have directed that this matter be communicated, please relay this to each party as appropriate. I write to inform you of this. The above.
