○火の元の件について、度々仰せ付けられているが、（江戸）御留守中のことであるので、なおいっそう火の用心を厳しく申し付け、先に仰せ出された通り、支配下の方々は末端に至るまで油断のないよう申し付けること。以上。

○火の元の件について、度々仰せ出された通り、この時節に至ってもいよいよ念を入れて申し付けること。特に蚊いぶし（蚊やり）をする時節であるので、なおいっそう火の用心を厳しく申し付けること。また、風が強く吹く際には、自分の家来を夜中に屋敷の周辺へ巡回させ、油断のないよう申し付けること。各自そのように心得た上で、末端・下々に至るまで厳しく申し付けること。以上。

享保十九寅年（1734年）
○去る春、御書付をもって仰せ出された通り、火の元の件について末端に至るまでよくよく申し付けること。春先または風が強く吹く際には、各自の家来を夜中に屋敷の周辺へ巡回させ、放火しそうな者がいれば召し捕って目付中へ差し越すこと。江戸に留守居の方々は人手が少ないと思われるので、その一族・隣家の方々と連絡を取り、気を付けて油断のないよう相談しておくこと。また、以前より五つ時（午後八時頃）から提灯を立てて往来することが定めであるので、いよいよその定めを守り、末端に至るまでその刻限からは必ず提灯を立てるよう申し付けること。万一、乱れた行動があれば厳しく改める予定である。昼夜ともに御役掛りの方々が巡回されるので、そのように心得ておくこと。さらに、不時に御目付・御徒目付が巡回するよう仰せ付けられているので、支配のある方々は末端・下々に至るまでその旨を厳しく申し付けること。以上。

右は、去る二十一日夜廻りが仰せ出されたことに伴い、右の御触を差し出したものである。また、本多内蔵助方へは通常の御触とは異なり、格別の御触であるので、留守居の者を招いて御触の趣旨を申し聞かせるよう、修理方より申し聞かされたので、その通りに取り扱った。

As previously announced, those in supervisory positions are to ensure that all persons under their authority, down to the lowest, remain vigilant without negligence. The above.

○ Regarding fire prevention: as has been repeatedly announced, even now as this season arrives, instructions are to be given with renewed care. In particular, as this is the season for mosquito-smoking (fumigation), fire precautions are to be communicated even more strictly. Furthermore, when strong winds blow, each person's servants are to be made to patrol around the estate buildings throughout the night without negligence. **Kyōhō 19, Year of the Tiger (1734)**
○ As was announced by written notice last spring, regarding fire prevention: this is to be communicated thoroughly to all, down to the lowest persons. In early spring, or when strong winds blow, each person's servants are to be made to patrol around the estate buildings throughout the night, and if anyone is found acting suspiciously as a potential arsonist, they are to be apprehended and brought before the inspectors. Those remaining in Edo on caretaker duty will likely be short-handed, so they should consult with their relatives and neighboring households and remain vigilant without negligence. Furthermore, as it has long been the established rule that people must carry lit lanterns when traveling from the fifth hour (approximately 8 p.m.) onward, this rule is to be observed all the more strictly, and all persons down to the lowest are to be instructed without fail to carry lanterns from that hour. Should any violations occur, they will be strictly corrected. Officers assigned to relevant duties will be making rounds both day and night, so please be prepared accordingly. Furthermore, as the inspectors (o-metsuke) and walking inspectors (o-kachi-metsuke) have been ordered to conduct unannounced patrols, those with subordinates under their jurisdiction are to strictly communicate this matter down to the lowest and humblest persons. The above notice was issued in connection with the announcement of night patrols on the 21st of this month. Additionally, since the notice to be sent to the Honda Kuranosuke household is a special notice distinct from the ordinary notice, the Shuri-kata (Repair Office) conveyed instructions that the caretaker should be summoned and informed of the contents of the notice, and the matter was handled accordingly.
