目付迄可被指越候江戸留守之面々は人少にも可有之儀に候得は其の一類
或は隣家之面々ゟ無油断様に可被申談候且又【朱書で挿入】「五時ゟ提灯を立致往来御」

【右丁】
一、道心者（僧侶）や比丘尼が出入りする場合は、その宗旨の寺方から判形を取り、御目付まで差し上げるよう申し付けるべきである。もし手形を差し上げない道心者は、出入りを堅く断るべきである。下々の者に至るまでこの旨を申し付けるべきである。ただし、他所から通りかかる道心者が当分の間滞在する場合は別格とする。以上。
二月 御目付
三月十日頃御触出し
【朱書】「宝暦四戌年（1754年）から定式の御触となったため、封をして御用箱へ入れ置き、毎年日限が来たら継続して使用するようになった」
○火の用心の時節であるので、火の元の儀については末々に至るまでよくよく申し付けるべきである。風が吹いたり、強風の折には、各々の屋敷の辺りを夜中に家来を廻らせ、不審な者があれば召し捕り、御目付まで差し越すべきである。江戸に留守の面々は人手が少ないこともあるので、その一族あるいは隣家の面々からも油断なきよう申し談ずべきである。また、【朱書挿入】「五ツ時（午後八時頃）から提灯を立てて往来することが御定めであるので、いよいよ相守り、末々に至るまで提灯を灯すよう、この段堅く申し付けるべきである。以上。」御家中の門前あるいは辻々において、軽輩の者共が煙草を喫する者もいると聞こえているので、そのような儀がないよう末々の者へ厳しく申し付けるべきである。もっとも、御定めの通り五ツ時から提灯を灯して往来すべきであるので、末々に至るまで提灯を灯して往来するよう堅く申し付けるべき旨である。以上。

四月十日頃御触出し

○火の元の儀については度々仰せ出されているが、なお念を入れて厳しく申し付けるべきである。先達ってからも触れた通り、五ツ時から提灯を灯して往来すべきである。さらに家来の末々まで堅く申し付けるべきである。各々の屋敷の辺りで怪しい者を見かけた場合は、召し捕り御目付まで達すべきである。【見せ消ち：取｜捕】違いは不都合である。川狩野辺りへ出かける際は、人家近所はもちろんのこと、火の元を【見せ消ち：作法｜沙汰】なく粗略にしてはならない。また、【朱で囲み】「この度は別して」【朱書の脇書】「当春」御城下へ念入りに御仕置きを仰せ付けられた趣もあり、厳重に吟味を遂げる手はずであるので、粗雑な儀のないよう心得るべき旨である。以上。

○ As this is the season for fire vigilance, the matter of fire prevention should be thoroughly communicated to all, down to the lowest ranks. When the wind blows strongly, retainers should be made to patrol the vicinity of each household at night, and any suspicious persons should be apprehended and reported to the Magistrate. Those whose households are being maintained while they are in Edo are likely to be short-staffed, so their relatives or neighboring households should be consulted to ensure no negligence occurs. Furthermore, 【red ink insertion】"as it is the established rule that lanterns must be lit and carried when traveling after the fifth hour (around 8 p.m.), this rule should be strictly observed, and everyone down to the lowest ranks should be firmly instructed to light lanterns. It has been heard that low-ranking individuals are smoking tobacco at the gates of samurai households and at street corners, and strict orders should be given to those of lower ranks that such behavior must cease.
