御着城前の御触出し
口達
○御着城（藩主が城に帰還）される節に、御家中の末々に至るまで町筋へ出る者があれば、みだりな振る舞いのないよう、きっと相慎むべきである。もっとも、御家中の末々まで家内の人手が少なくなるであろうから、まず第一に火の元に念を入れて申し付けた上で外出すべきである。軽輩の者は近所へ申し合わせて、家内に油断なく気を配り、火の元を粗略にすることのないよう心得るべきである。右の趣を面々の家来の末々まで堅く申し付けるべき旨であるので、その意を得られるべきである。以上。

追って、組支配のある面々は右の趣を申し渡すべきである。
六月二十三日頃御触出し
○この間、天気が続いて乾燥が強いので、火の元の儀について面々念を入れて申し付けるべき旨であるので、その意を得られるべきである。蚊遣りをする時節であるので、下々に至るまで堅く申し付けるべきである。以上。

七月九日頃御触出し 【朱書】「元禄年中よりこのようにしている」
○例年の通り、盆中（お盆の期間中）の門立ち・辻踊り・辻相撲、および下々の者が用もなく所々の出入り口や町を歩き回ること、総じて御城下の広場へ人が集まることは御法度である。ただし、十三歳以下の子供が、面々の屋敷の内において他の者を交えず、召し使いなど子供の仲間に入って踊ることは差し支えない。町方は、その町の範囲内で十三歳以下の子供が他の町の者を交えず少々踊ることは差し支えない。その他【朱書の脇書「は」】は停止（禁止）であるので、その意を得られるべきである。以上。

各中 【朱書】「享保元酉年（1716年）よりやめるようになったと見受けられる」
追って、三国・金津【朱書挿入「元禄の頃は志比・境」】へ下々の者が無断で軽率に参らないよう申し付けるべきである。総じて目付を出し置いているので、その心得があるべきである。組支配のある面々は右の趣を申し渡すべきである。

Verbal communication
○ On the occasion of the Lord's return to the castle, should any persons from among the entire household staff down to the lowest ranks go out into the town streets, they must strictly restrain themselves from any disorderly conduct. Moreover, since households throughout all ranks will likely be short-staffed, one must above all give thorough instructions regarding fire prevention before going out. Lower-ranking persons should consult with their neighbors, remain attentive within their households without negligence, and take care that fire prevention is not treated carelessly. The above matters should be strictly communicated to all retainers of each household down to the lowest ranks, and the intent of this proclamation should be well understood. The above.

Proclamation issued around the 23rd day of the Sixth Month
○ As the dry weather has continued and conditions have been particularly arid of late, it is hereby ordered that each person give careful attention to fire prevention. As this is the season for mosquito-repellent burning, strict instructions should be given to all, down to the lowest ranks. The above.

Proclamation issued around the 9th day of the Seventh Month 【Red ink note】"This has been done in this manner since the Genroku era."
○ As in previous years, the following are strictly prohibited during the Bon Festival period: loitering at gates, roadside dancing (tsuji odori), roadside sumo wrestling (tsuji sumō), lower-ranking persons wandering without purpose through streets and various entrances and exits, and in general, crowds gathering in the open spaces of the castle town. However, it is permissible for children aged thirteen and under to dance within the precincts of their respective estates, provided they are in the company only of other children among the household servants, without mixing with outsiders. In the case of town residents, it is permissible for children aged thirteen and under to dance a little within their own town district, without mixing with children from other towns. All else 【red ink marginal note: "is"】 is prohibited, and the intent of this proclamation should be well understood. The above.

Additionally, instructions should be given that lower-ranking persons must not go to Mikuni or Kanazu 【red ink insertion: "around the Genroku era: Shihi and Sakai"】 without permission and recklessly. Since magistrates (metsuke) have been stationed there, everyone should be mindful of this. Those with group supervision should communicate the above matters.
